Instructions

Step 1
Mix salt, pepper, cumin, red pepper flakes , paprika, and brown sugar in a small bowl

If there is a lot of excess fat on roast trim some
Step 3
Rub seasoning mix over both sides of roast
Step 4
Slice onion and place half at bottom of slow cooker
Step 5
Place roast in slow cooker and cover with half the bbq sauce and remaining onions
Step 6
Optional: Pour water (or broth) around roast
Step 7
Cover and cook on high for 5 hours or low for 8 hours
Step 8
When done cooking shred roast with two forks
Step 9
When serving top with remaining bbq sauce and enjoy! (Delicious sides are coleslaw, mac & cheese, pasta salad, or corn on the cob)
