½ tsppepper
1 tsppaprika
1 tspgarlic powder
2 tspitalian seasoning
2 Tbspolive oil
2 Tbspbutter
2 Tbspminced garlic
1 cupchicken broth
1 cupheavy cream
1 cupparmesan cheese
½ tspred pepper flakes
1 x 19 ozfrozen tortellini
Instructions
Step 1
Dice bacon into squares and cook until crisp. Remove from skillet and drain most of the grease but not all.
Step 2
Dice chicken into bite size cubes.
Step 3
Mix together salt, pepper, garlic, and paprika and then dredge chicken in the seasonings thoroughly.
Step 4
In the skillet with the bacon grease, heat olive oil and butter over medium heat.
Step 5
Cook chicken for 4-5 minutes stirring occasionally until all sides are partially cooked. Don't worry about cooking all the way, it will finish cooking later.
Step 6
Take the chicken out of the skillet and put it aside.
Step 7
Add a little more olive oil to the skillet and then add the minced garlic. Add the can of drained tomatoes and cook on medium heat until nearly all of the liquid has evaporated. About 3 minutes.
Step 8
Next add chicken broth, heavy cream, and Parmesan cheese to the tomatoes. Then add the red pepper flakes and Italian seasoning.
Step 9
Lower heat. Stir together well and let simmer. Don't over heat and don't boil or the cream will break.
Step 10
As sauce begins to thicken after a couple minutes, Add back the chicken and bacon.
Step 11
Add one bag of frozen tortellini, cover, and let cook for about 5 minutes.
Step 12
Once the tortellini is tender and cooked remove from heat, uncover and let sit a few minutes. Serve and enjoy!
