I added to the recipe. I added 1 tablespoon of flour to the cornstarch and added 1 cup butterscotch chips to the custard when mixing and still hot.

Instructions

Step 1
Combine milk and brown sugar in saucepan. Stir to combine. In another bowl whisk eggs. Cornstarch, flour, rest of brown sugar and whisk rapidly to combine. After milk mixture comes to boil. Pour a little into eggs to temper and telhen add to hot mixture. Take off heat. Stir in butter and vanilla. Pour into pie shell and chill till set, usually 4 to 5 hours. Make meringue or whip cream. Meringue can be put on top and browned slightly in oven
