Brazilian Stroganoff
Brazilian version of the Russian dish Stroganoff. Can be made with chicken or beef.

Ingredients
6 servings
1.5 lbchicken breast
or beef
1yellow onion
or white
2cloves of garlic
12 oztomato sauce
3 Tbspketchup
2 Tbspyellow mustard
1 cupheavy cream
preferably media/table cream
4 ozcanned mushrooms
1 ⅓ cupsrice
3 Tbspolive oil

Instructions
Step 1
Dice onions either small or bigger chucks depending on your preference. Small dice or mince garlic. Dice the chicken breast or beef about 1 inch
Step 2
Make the rice: on a stove top, add some oil and cook a handful of onions and garlic. Add black pepper, salt and any other seasoning. Then add the rice and toast for a minute or two. Add 2 cups of water and wait until it boils. Turn down the heat to low and cook for 16 minutes with the lid on. Remove from heat and leave lid on until the rest of the meal is ready.
Step 3
Grab 4-6 quart pot, heat the olive oil on medium-high, add onions and cook until very soft, almost starting to caramelize
Step 4
Add garlic and cook for another 2 minutes
Step 5
Add the protein and cook until lightly brown
Step 6
If using beef or chicken bouillon (knorr or goya) add it now along with 2 Tbsp of water
Step 7
Drain and add canned mushrooms. Let it cook for 2 minutes
Step 8
Add tomato sauce, ketchup and mustard. Let it simmer for 5 minutes
Step 9
Add Media/Table cream or heavy cream, stir well and let it simmer for another 5 minutes
Step 10
Serve with rice and potato sticks/chips or fries
