Tempura batter
Seasoning (Optional)
Instructions
Step 1
Wash and devein shrimps, set aside.
Step 2
Wash asparagus, and trim the bottoms, set aside.
Step 3
Break oyster mushroom into six pieces, and set aside.
Step 4
In a medium bowl, combine tempura batter ingredients, and mix.
Step 5
Add oil to the pot and bring it to 375ºF over medium heat.
Step 6
One at a time, dip shrimp into the batter to coat. Do not batter tails. Carefully place a few shrimp at a time into the hot oil. Fry until golden brown, about 1 1/2 minutes. Drain on paper towels.
Step 7
Repeat this for mushrooms and asparagus.
Step 8
Add shredded carrots into a remaining batter bowl, and mix well.
Step 9
Carefully place a spoon of carrots at a time into the hot oil.
Step 10
Fry until golden brown, about 1 1/2 minutes. Drain on paper towels.
