Instructions
Step 1
Make sure the beef is dry then season it with salt and pepper.
Step 2
Stir fry the strips in a tbsp of butter for 3 minutes or until medium.
Step 3
Remove the meat, add two tbsps of butter to the same pan, add the onions and cook until soft.
Step 4
Add the brown sugar and 1/3 a cup of hot water. Stir until the onions are caramelized.
Step 5
In a different pan, add the sliced mushrooms and cook until they drain all their water and it dries up.
Step 6
Add the Worcestershire sauce and a hit of black pepper and stir until the mushrooms absorb the sauce then remove from the pan.
Step 7
Add a tsp of butter to the pan then the green peppers, sautée until it softens.
Step 8
Set aside half the mushrooms and add the other half with the onions and peppers to the beef and stir for a minute over medium heat then remove.
Step 9
Slice the bread, add half the cheese on the inside first, then the meat and veggie mix, then the rest of the cheese, then the remaining mushrooms.
Step 10
Preheat the oven to 200°C

In a non stick tray, put the sandwiches into the oven and leave them for 2-3 minutes or until the cheese melts completely.

Serve with a side of truffle potato chips.
