Ingredients
6 servings
1 Tbspneutral flavored oil
0.5onion
large, small diced
1green bell pepper
small diced
1red bell peppers
small diced
1celery stick
small diced
4garlic gloves
minced
1 Tbspginger
minced, or ginger paste
2 Tbsptomato paste
1 Tbspchili garlic paste
or 1/2 Tbsp depending on spice tolerance
0.5 lbground chuck
0.5 lbground lamb
0.5 lbhot Italian sausage
ground, or use mild Italian sausage depending on spice tolerance
1can diced tomatoes & chilies
small
1can of red beans
2 cupsunsalted chicken stock
Salt
Pepper
1 Tbspchicken bouillon powder
1 tspchili powder
2 tsponion powder
¼ tspcayenne pepper
½ tspjalapeño powder
optional
1 tspdried oregano
2bay leaves
4 Tbspbutter
or you can do half of that
1 Tbsphot sauce
fresh parsley
roughly chopped
For toppings
Instructions
Step 1
Using a large pot on medium heat , add the 1 Tbsp of oil . Once hot add the onions and peppers season with salt and pepper to taste. Sauté for a few then add the celery, garlic and ginger.
Step 2
gradually add the meats and cook down . Add the tomato paste and chili garlic paste. Mix until until well incorporated
Step 3
Add the diced tomatoes and chilies , along with the red beans . Mix
Step 4
Add the chicken stock , the season with these listed spices 👇🏿
Step 5
Add in the bay leaves and cover. allow to simmer for 15-20 minutes on low heat .
Step 6
To finish off add the butter and the hot sauce and chopped parsley . Mix until the butter has melted .
Step 7
Plate in a bowl with the toppings listed or your favorite toppings. Along with some toasted garlic bread . Enjoy and stay very noicee.
