Instructions
Step 1
Whisk together water, yeast, honey, and sugar in a small bowl or cup. Let yeast mixture sit for 5 minutes until foamy.
Step 2
In large bowl combine the flour and salt together and once that is mixed in add your yeast mixture and mix until a shaggy dough forms and no flour streaks remain.
Step 3
Pour your olive oil on top of the dough, tossing it making sure that everything is coated in olive oil.
Step 4
Cover and put it in the fridge for 12 or 24 hours
Step 5
Generously butter a 13x9 baking pan and drizzle a little of olive oil in the center of the pan. Take the dough out of the fridge and using 1 or 2 forks gather the edges, lifting it up and and over in the center of the bowl. Transfer the dough into the buttered pan and gently spread it out into the edges and cover with saran wrap and let it sit in room temperature for 3 hours.
Step 6
Preheat your over at 450 degrees Fahrenheit.
Step 7
Once your dough has risen drizzle more olive oil and start poking the dough with your fingers. Drizzle more olive oil on top and zatar (optional) and salt.
Step 8
Bake for 25-30 minutes or until golden brown
