Marilyn’s Italian-French Sloppy Joes

I couldn’t find any Manwich in my pantry tonight, so I improvised and came up with this delicious, unique take on Sloppy Joes. It is easy, adaptable, and took just about a half hour to make. I don’t like real thick sauces, so it may take you a little longer to let it simmer till it is to your liking. Bon appetite! Even your kids will like this one. Please note. I didn’t add salt and pepper. If you wish to add them, please add them, but I found it was perfect without them.

Instructions

Step 1
Heat oil in a jar skillet. When it is hot, brown your ground meat of choice in it and add Herbs de Provance to the meat, browning until meat is almost all browned . Add tomato sauce. Stir frequently until sauce comes to a boil. Reduce heat and let simmer until it looks good to you. Meanwhile liberally sprinkle the shredded cheese on two of the slices of bread. When sauce is ready, place the meaty sauce on top of cheese. The heat from it will melt the cheese before you sit down to eat. At least it did for me. Anyhow, place the other two slices of bread on top of the meaty sauce, then ladle more of sauce on top. Enjoy!
