Instructions
Step 1
Preheat oven to 375
Peel plantains, cut and boil 6 of them Other three cut lengthwise and either air fry or fry the strips

Pound 4 cloves of garlic and add salt and the oregano set aside
Step 3
Heat pan on medium heat, add oil and cook onions and bell pepper till tender add salt and pepper
Step 4
Now add ground beef and break it up into small pieces cook until beef is no longer pink, then add the rest of the seasonings, olives, Sofrito, tomato sauce, tomato and garlic cook 10 minutes

The boiled plantains can now be mashed, you can add water or milk and some butter mash until smooth, add the garlic paste to the mix
Step 6
To assemble, grease 9 x 13 pan
Put half of the mashed plantains as a bottom layer and smooth it out, top it with half the beef mix, top with fried plantain, half the cheese, then add the rest of the beef mix top with the rest of the mashed plantains then add the remaining cheese. Bake uncovered for 30 minutes
