Instructions
Step 1
Place beans in a bowl and cover completely with water. Allow to soak overnight.
Step 2
In another saucepan bring water to the boil and cook drained beans for one hour.
Step 3
Add rice, top up with water if necessary, cook gently for one more hour.
Step 4
Stir in margarine, season with salt and pepper.
