Spaghetti Pie

This was what we asked for any time we went to my grandma’s house and also a favorite at cross country pasta suppers! You can substitute sausage for ground beef for more flavor, or do 1/2 and 1/2. You can also add green peppers/mushrooms/onion if you want to.

Instructions

Step 1
1. Cook spaghetti according to package directions, drain. 2. While spaghetti cooks, cook hamburger (and onions, peppers and mushrooms if desired) in skillet until veggies are tender and meat is browned. 3. Drain off fat from meat, then stir in spaghetti sauce (about 1/2 a jar) and heat it through 4. Beat eggs well 5. Stir eggs and Parmesan cheese into spaghetti. Form spaghetti into crust in a 10” buttered pie plate 6. Spread cottage cheese over crust 7. Add meat-tomato mixture and bake at 350 F for 20 min. 8. Sprinkle with mozzarella cheese and bake 5 more minutes or until cheese melts
