¼ cupyellow moong dal
rinsed well

2 cupswater

1 tablespoonghee
or oil

½ teaspooncumin seeds

¼ teaspoonturmeric powder

salt

¼ teaspooncoriander powder

¼ teaspoongaram masala

¼ teaspoonred chilli powder

¼ cuponion
chopped

1 teaspoonginger
minced

1green chilli

¼ cuptomato
chopped

¼ cupcarrot

¼ cupgreen peas

Instructions
Step 1
Here are the steps to make quinoa khichdi:

1. Set your instant pot to saute mode, heat ghee or oil. Add cumin seeds, fry for a few seconds until they crackle.

2. Add onion and ginger and sauté for about 10 minutes until soft and golden.

3. Add tomato and cook for another 5 minutes until soft and mushy.

4.Add turmeric powder, salt, cumin powder, garam masala and red chilli powder, stir well.

5. Add quinoa and moong daal.

6. Add the vegetables and mix it well.

7. Add water and set instant pot on pressure setting for 10 minutes.

8. Enjoy your quinoa khichdi hot or warm with some yogurt or pickle on the side.
