Good Luck Soup incorporates foods from traditions around the world that are supposed to bring you luck. Make yearly for New Year's! Serve over cornbread (or on the side). You can change the spices (Mexican, Oriental 5 Spice, etc) for endless possibilities. May it bring you luck in the New Year!!

1 TablespoonVegetable
1 TablespoonGarlic
2 cwater
hot
2 CBloody Mary Mix
2 CSpicy V-8 Juice
2 CSpinach frozen
chopped
1 CBaby Limas frozen
1 CCorn frozen
1 CBlack Eyed Peas
frozen or canned
1 CGreen Peas and Carrots frozen
1 x 14 ozCan Crushed Tomatoes
red pepper flakes
to taste, optional
1 CWild Rice Blend
Instructions
Step 1
In large soup pot, saute onion until translucent. Add garlic and cook until fragrant. Add salt, pepper and Kefta Spices and cook until blended. Add Better Than Bouillon to hot water; stir until dissolved and add to pot. Stir in Bloody Mary Mix and Spicy V-8. Add crushed tomatoes and stir to blend. Bring to boil then add rest of vegetables. Add Red Pepper flakes, if using. Bring to boil. Add Wild Rice. Reduce heat and cook on low stirring occasionally for at least 1 hour.
