Step 1
Put the potatoes and carrots in a pot to boil with salt
Step 2
Put the onion to fry with some of the butter. After some minutes, add the rest of the butter and add the bacon to fry.
Step 3
Put the cabbage to in a pan to soften. You could also boil it a little. After they got a little soft, add the beetroot. After some minutes, add the apple.
Step 4
Mash the potatoes and carrots. Add the milk. You can warm the milk before. Add nutmeg, salt and pepper to taste.
Step 5
Optional: serve with meatballs or sausage, and/or gravy.
