Our favorite Oatmeal Cookie Recipe is inspired by our favorite Crumbl Cookie. Buttery rich & deliciously chewy, these cookies have a sweet white icing drizzle and the perfect hint of warming spice from cinnamon & nutmeg.

Instructions
Preheat oven to 350°F
Step 1
Line baking sheet with parchment paper.
Step 2
In lg. mixing bowl, add softened butter, brown sugar, & sugar. With mixer, cream on med. until light & fluffy.
Step 3
Add egg & vanilla; mix on med. to combine.
Step 4
Add flour, salt, baking soda, cinnamon, & nutmeg to bowl; mix on med. just until combined.
Step 5
Add2 oats to bowl ; fold in, but do not overmix.
Step 6
With lg. cookie scoop, scoop dough into 1” balls; place on the prepared baking sheet. Press dough down slightly to flatten.
Step 7
Bake (10-12 min.) until just starting to turn golden on the edges (the top will still appear a little soft)
Step 8
Let cool on the cookie sheet for 10 mins then move to a cookie rack to cool completely
Glaze
Step 9
In sm. bowl, add all of cookie glaze; mix to make a smooth icing.
Step 10
Ice cookies when they are completely cooled. Place cookies on cooling rack set over a piece of waxed paper. Drizzle icing over tops of cookies. Return cookies to cooling rack until icing hardens.
Step 11
Store cookies in an airtight container (up to 4 days). You can also freeze these cookies once the icing has hardened. Just place them in an airtight container & freeze (up to 3 mo.) Thaw on counter when ready to eat.
