Instructions
Step 1
Peel and chop apples. Preheat the oven to 350 degrees F.
Step 2
In a large bowl, combine the apples, lemon juice, 1/2 cup brown sugar, flour, cinnamon and salt. Make sure the apples are well coated, then transfer to the casserole dish.
Step 3
In a large bowl, whisk together the flour, brown sugar, oats, cinnamon, baking powder and salt to combine.
Step 4
Work the softened vegan butter or coconut oil into the flour mixture until well combined.
Step 5
Grease pan (I actually don't do this).
Step 6
Sprinkle the topping evenly over the apples, and bake for about 45 minutes, until the top is golden brown and the apples are tender.
