This recipe is similar to fried crab cakes except it’s made with canned mackerel. You can use any canned , fresh fish or seafood to make these delicious croquettes.

Ingredients

1celery stalk
chopped

◽️shallots

garlic

8capers
½ tspdill
dried or fresh
½ tspdijon
cayenne
½ tspsalt
¾ cupcorn meal
2eggs
beaten
worcestershire
sugar
honey
lemon
juice of
celery seed
½ tsptarragon
turmeric
◽️pinch
1 tsppepper
Instructions
Step 1
DREDGE AND WASH Combine the mackerel mixture with all ingredients and form 1 inch thick patties about 2 inches in circumference and dredge and wash first in the wet mixture and then cover with the dry mixture. Fry until golden brown in a skillet using peanut oil mixed with olive oil. Do not over cook. Yogurt, eggs and milk (mixed together) Flour, Corn meal and Panko (mixed together) Add Salt pepper in all ingredients to wet and dry mixtures.
Step 2
SEAFOOD TARTAR SAUCE Cucumber Dill Yogurt or sour creme Dixie chow chow Relish Onion Juice of lemon Duke’s Mayo Salt pepper **Stir all ingredients together and chill for 2 hours
