Instructions

Step 1
In 3 separate bowls, add your flour, egg and breadcrumbs. Season each with salt and pepper. Season the breadcrumb bowl with garlic powder, onion powder, Italian seasoning and red pepper flakes. Mix well.
Step 2
In a shallow frying pan add about an inch of oil, heat on medium- low heat.
Step 3
Take one chicken cutlet and add into your flour bowl, pat off any excess, then dip into your egg bowl allowing any excess to drip off then place in your breadcrumb bowl and press down to ensure breadcrumbs stick to chicken. Repeat for remaining chicken cutlets.
Step 4
Place a toothpick in your oil and if it begins to bubble around the bottom- your oil is ready for frying.
Step 5
Place 3-4 breaded chicken cutlets in the oil allowing space between each of them, don't over crowd the pan. Fry for 3-5 minutes on each side, until golden brown and crispy. Place on a plate lined with paper towel. Repeat for remaking chicken cutlets, if oil gets too dark replace with fresh and reheat.
