Instructions
Step 1
Cook chicken (if breasts, cover in tin foil and cook at 180 degrees for 40 minutes or until cooked)
Step 2
Fry onion in oil
Step 3
Add rest of ingredients except chicken and mayonnaise and bring to boil. Add sugar/ lemon juice to taste.
Step 4
Simmer uncovered for 6-8 minutes. Strain. Remove lemon slices, blend onions and readd to sauce. Leave to cool.
Step 5
Add mayonnaise and stir in chicken. Serve cold. Flavour develops if left overnight.
