A big batch of soft home-made play dough. This is taste safe, but naturally, eating by the handful not recommended.

Instructions

Step 1
Combine all ingredients, except for food coloring in a 2qt sauce pot. Mix well.
Step 2
Heat on low stirring frequently until it comes close to a play consistency. Make sure to scrape dough off the bottom and sides of the pot as you stir so it doesn't burn.
Step 3
Remove from pot. If you want colors separate dough into separate glass bowls. Add food coloring of choice and knead or mix until incorporated. You may want to use gloves while mixing the colors. The food coloring can stain hands out of the bottle, but once it's mixed into the dough it will NOT color your little one's hands.
Step 4
Play then store in sandwhich baggies or air tight containers.
Step 5
Should last 3-6 months if kept in a cupboard, a little longer in the fridge. Discard once it is no longer plays well. If it ever smells funky or molds discard promptly.
