This is an easy and quick recipe! It uses oranges and maple syrup for sweetening and flavoring the oatmeal. Ginger adds a touch of warmth. Excellent for a cold winter morning or when you have a cold. It's tasty even otherwise!

Step 1
Heat butter and water in a saucepan over medium heat.
Step 2
Add oatmeal, salt, orange juice, ginger zest and maple syrup and bring to quick boil.
Step 3
Simmer over low heat for 10-15 minutes until thickened or it reaches desired consistency.
Step 4
Add pecans and raisins, mix well and serve hot.
