Pour water into the pot and put over high heat until it boils. Add salt, pepper and the spices (you can experiment with additions, but oregano and chili go in nicely) and a Laurel leaf. Let boil for 3-5 minutes or until the water begins to color a bit.

Add in beef broth cubes and let boil for 5 more minutes until the cubes dissolve.

Cut the beef into small cubes as you normally would for a soup and add into the broth. Set heat to medium.

Preheat a small pan with a tablespoon of oil of your choosing. Mince garlic and onions well and fry them on medium heat for 3-4 minutes, or until the onions are golden and fragnant. Add the onions and garlic into the soup with the oil.

Chop tomatoes, carrots, broccoli, and green beans into small pieces and throw them into the pot. By the time you do that, your beef should be ready (and become greyish in color).

Lastly, open the can of beans, drain the sauce/water from them and add them into the soup. Stir well.

Put the heat to low. Add in one tablespoon of chili sauce and one to two tablespoons of balsamic vinegar and stir again, making sure to mix all the ingredients.

Leave the broth for 30-40 minutes on the stove so that it brings out the flavor. The dish is ready to be served!
