Instructions

Onion

Step 1
Peel and finely chop the onion, then heat the oil in a frying pan and soften onions until the are still translucent but not burnt

Cooking the Beef Mince

Break the mince up and add it to the onions. Turn the meat to ensure all of it is cooked adding pepper, and salt to season to your taste. Then drain off any fat and excess juice and set aside.

Step 3
Boil 750ml of water to make a Beef stock. Pour the stock into a large sauce pan. Wash and drain the rice then add it to the stock in the pan. Add in the 100g frozen peas and bring to the boil then reduce to a simmer. Cover the pan but continue to stir occasionally to prevent the rice sticking to the bottom of the pan.

Once the rice has absorbed the stock and softened the meal is ready. (add more hot water if you need to) Before serving do a tasting and add any additional seasoning required to satisfy your taste

I like some crusty bread & butter to go with my Beef Risotto, but you can add any accompaniment to suit you. Flat breads and tortillas go great with it or you could add some salad or vegetables
