1.5 poundsground beef
5 ½ cupsonion
chopped
1 cupgreen bell pepper
2cloves garlic
minced
3 x 15 ozdark red kidney beans
cans, rinsed and drained
2 x 15 oztomato sauce
cans
1 x 14 ozdiced tomatoes
can
2 teaspoonschili powder
1 teaspoonsground mustard
¾ teaspoonsdried basil
½ teaspoonblack pepper
1dried chiles

Instructions
Step 1
1. Brown beef, onions, bell pepper, and garlic in large skillet over medium high heat, stirring to break up meat. Remove Beef mixture to crockpot/slow cooker using slotted spoon.
Step 2
2. Add beans, tomato sauce, tomatoes, chili powder, mustard, basil,black pepper,and chiles, if desired, to crock pot/slow cooker; mix well. Cover; cook on LOW 8 to 10 hours or on HIGH 4 to 5 hours. If used, remove chiles before serving.
