250mlfull cream milk
3eggs
large, free range
Instructions
Step 1
Preheat oven to 180 degree Celsius.
Step 2
Heat the butter in a pan, add the onion and allow to sweat and sweeten.
Step 3
Remove from the pan and set aside.
Step 4
Next, reheat the pan over a high heat and fry the beef and pork mince in their own fat until brown.
Step 5
Now remove from the heat and add the onions together with all the other ingredients except the milk and eggs.
Step 6
Mix well and then spoon into and ovenproof dish, the mince should be 3-4cm deep.
Step 7
Using the back of a wooden spoon, spread the mixture evenly in the bottom of the dish.
Step 8
Whisk the egg and milk together and pour over the mince.
Step 9
Bake until the egg custard sets.
Step 10
Serve with chutney, green salad and yellow rice.
