Instructions
Step 1
Put a medium to large pot of water on to boil.
Step 2
Cut the onion, pepper, and sausage into bite-size pieces.
Step 3
Heat up a large skillet over medium heat.
Step 4
Add the butter to the skillet, then the sweet onion. Add a little salt/pepper. Cook for a couple minutes until they start sweating.
Step 5
Add the green peppers to the skillet and continue cooking.
Step 6
When the onions are browned on the edges and near translucent, add the sausage to the skillet and frozen pierogis to the boiling water.
Step 7
After 3-4 minutes, remove the pierogis from the water and let them drain. Nest them in the skillet, making sure they get good contact with the metal.
Step 8
Continue stirring the onions and peppers. Cook the pierogis until golden brown (about 3-5 minutes each side).
Step 9
Remove from heat and serve!
