Instructions

Step 1
Cut the ribs into bite size pieces along the side of the bone. Parboil for about 15 minutes to remove all the impurities and drain. Rinse the ribs with cold water.
Step 2
Add oil to a large pot along with shallot and garlic. Cook until fragrant. Add the ribs into the pot and black pepper. Add fish sauce and water. Add bouillon cubes and rock sugar. Taste and adjust as needed. The amount of bouillon cubes added will be determined by how much water you use. Cook for about 1 hour or until the ribs are tender. Boil one box of elbow macaroni or noodles Add soup over the macaroni then top with white pepper, hoisin, sriracha, green onion, cilantro, lime and chili oil
