Instructions

Step 1
Toast pine nuts over med-low heat, shifting pan constantly so they don’t burn. Allow to cool. In a blender or food processor, add olive oil first followed by pine nuts and garlic. Pulse to roughly chop, add one cup of basil. Pulse to roughly chop before adding remaining basil so blender blades don’t clog.

Step 2
Add salt and while running processor or blender add lemon juice. Do not add lemon juice in the beginning or you will make mayonnaise by accident. Slowly add cheese to not clog your blades. Toss with your favorite pasta or use for other dishes!
