Crème Brûlée Cupcakes

My favorite twist on a classic! Fluffy vanilla sponge filled and topped with custard frosting that is then caramelized, really easy and definitely a crowd crème brûlée cupcakes!

Step 1
Get started on the custard by combining the condensed milk, 3/4 cup milk, and half of the vanilla pudding mix. Whisk and cover to let it sit in the fridge overnight to firm up.
Step 2
Whisk to combine the butter, 1/2 cup milk, eggs, and vanilla cake mix. Pour into a cupcake pan (12 cupcakes) or a muffin pan (6 muffins). Bake at 300f for 25-30min, or until a skewer inserted comes out clean. Let it cool down.
Step 3
In the meantime, whip up the heavy cream and vanilla until stiff peaks are formed. Fold the whipped cream into the custard and transfer to a piping bag.
Step 4
Use a piping tip/knife to scoop the middle of the cupcake to create a well, and then fill it with the custard until the top of the cupcake is covered. Sprinkle generously with sugar and toast it using a torch or place cupcake in a broiler. Enjoy immediately!
