These tawa naans are made on an iron tawa where you would stick one side of the naan to the tawa and flip it to cook on an open flame. But it can be cooked on a nonstick pan too. You just won’t be able to cook the on an open flame. But your naans will still turn out nice and soft.

Instructions
Step 1
Put all the ingredients apart from water in a deep bowl
Step 2
Mix all the ingredients and add water as required. You shouldn’t require more than 2 tbsp
Step 3
Kneed to make a soft dough.
Step 4
Now cover and rest for at least 20 minutes. The longer you leave it the better your naans will turn out.
Step 5
After 20 minutes, kneed the dough again for a minute. And divide it into 8 equal parts and cover.
Step 6
Now take one part and roll into a round or an oval shaped naan.
Keep the other parts covered.
Step 7
Spread water on the rolled side of the naan and stick it onto the iron tawa.
Step 8
Let the naan cook for about 30 seconds on the stick side and then turn the tawa upside down onto the open flame
Step 9
Now keep rotating the tawa onto the open flame until the naan starts getting some brown spots and start puffing.
Step 10
Once fully puffed, turn the tawa back on to the gas and scrape of the naan with a spatula and put it in a plate.
Step 11
Spread some butter and coriander (optional) and enjoy with Chicken Tikka or some Paneer Makhni! 😃
