Instructions
Step 1
Note: Make sure your dish is oven-proof and safe to use on the hob.
Step 2
Preheat the oven to 220°C/ 200°C (fan)/ Gas 7
Step 3
Boil a kettle
Step 4
Heat a large, wide-based oven-proof casserole dish with a matching lid with a drizzle of olive oil over a medium-high heat
Step 5
Add the chopped garlic to the dish with the chilli flakes (can't handle the heat? Go easy!) and cook for 30 secs
Step 6
Stir in the veg stock mix and add the chopped tomatoes, tomato paste, basil and 400ml boiled water
Step 7
Bring to the boil over a high heat
Step 8
Add 1/2 tsp [1 tsp sugar and stir through the pasta
Step 9
Cover with a lid and put the dish in the oven for an initial 25 min
Step 10
Use this time to clear up, set the table, have a cup of tea or simply chill!
Step 11
Once the pasta has been cooking for 25 min, remove the dish from the oven
Step 12
Add the king prawns and give everything a good mix up
Step 13
Cover with a lid and return the dish to the oven for 5-10 min further or until the prawns are cooked through and the pasta is tender - this is your spicy prawn arrabbiata pasta
Step 14
Season with a grind of pepper and parmesan
