Instructions
Step 1
Sautee onions in butter on med-hi heat for 50 minutes, stirring constantly
Step 2
Add salt and sugar and cook for another 5 minutes on low
Step 3
Add flour and onion soup mix and cook for another 5 minutes, stirring in between
Step 4
Add water, wine, salt well to taste and black pepper
Step 5
Bring to a boil and cook for half an hour, stirring every so often
Step 6
Serve with shredded cheese
