Prep:25minCook:30min
This casserole is a Thanksgiving favorite 🦃 the process of making it looks incredibly gross BUT the final result is absolutely amazing!!! The shallots on top are simply 👩🏻‍🍳 *chefs kiss* amazing. I have no words to describe how tasty this is- so go and make it so that you can understand for yourself!

Instructions

Step 1
Get a large pot of water ready and turn on high heat. Also, preheat your oven to 350F.
Step 2
Add the mushrooms into a food processor and process(?) until its the texture of coarse sand. Add the mushrooms into a large skillet with a sprinkle of salt to pull the water out. Dice the white onion and garlic; add both into the skillet. Cook the mixture until the onions become translucent. Add the milk, flour, and spices. Turn heat off.
Step 3
Add a pinch of salt to the boiling water and then add the green beans (from frozen is ok). Blanch for 4 minutes.
Step 4
Add the grean beans and mushroom mixture to a baking dish and cook for 30 minutes.
Step 5
While you are waiting, lets make brown butter shallots - its really easy. Add the stick of butter to a small sauce pan and turn on medium-high. Remove the skin from the shallots and cut long-ways. Add to the melted butter and cook until crispy. Salt immediately after removing from the butter.
Step 6
Once the beans are done, top with the shallots and you are good to go!
