Instructions

Step 1
Preheat oven to 190C (fan)
Step 2
In a large bowl mix together ground beef, onion, mix of pepper, nutmeg, dried basil, salt and pepper.
Step 3
Divide ground beef mixture into 6 equal pieces. Take one piece, flatten it and place a ball of mozzarella in the middle. Press meat around the cheese ball, fully enclosing it. Repeat with the remaining meat.
Step 4
Cover the bottom of the baking dish with the sauce, place your meatballs and pour the remaining sauce on top.
Step 5
Bake for 35-40 minutes, or until meat is ready.
Step 6
Garnish with fresh basil. Serve with pasta or mashed potatoes.
