Instructions
Step 1
Wearing gloves, prepare your turmeric and ginger.
Step 2
Place all ingredients in a blender. Process on high until a liquid forms.
Step 3
Pour through a fine-mesh strainer into a large bowl. A “paste” will be left behind in the strainer; allow this to drain as much a possible.
Step 4
Place a large piece of cheesecloth on a dish (so as to keep your countertop tidy). Use a spoon to scoop the paste onto the cheesecloth.
Step 5
Wearing gloves, gather the cheesecloth around the paste and squeeze the juice from the paste into the bowl.
Step 6
Pour into a glass jar for storage. Add 1/4-1/2 tsp cayenne pepper to each shot before serving, if desired. Serve in 2 oz shot glasses when ready!
