Peanut Butter and Banana Dog Treats

6 steps
Prep:30minCook:20min
4 servings of these treats make about 100 treats cut into 1'x1' squares. We make 1 serving (or 1/4 of this recipe) for our dog, who is ~45 lbs. He goes through these treats in about a week and a half. They don't have a long shelf-life especially if they have a high moisture content. That is why freezing batches made in bulk is preferred. You can use steel cut oats, too, only if you cook them first. We make our own oat flour by grinding steel cut oats in a blender for a few seconds! We don't use steel cut oats because it adds too much moisture in the final product.

Step 5
Perforate the treats by using a butterknife or pizza cutter before you cook them, this will make them break apart easier once they're finished. Cut into 1'x1' squares. (I like to shape them into bones, but I have to break them in half in order to feed them to my dog)
Step 6
cook at 350 for 20 minutes
