Cinnamon Apple Oatmeal

Makes oatmeal that isn't completely mush with a delicious topping! Kid friendly; Remi loves it. Serves 4 with lots of topping. Perfect for reheating for 3-4 days.

Instructions

Step 1
Add oats, milk, salt, and cinnamon to a large sauce pan to soak while making topping.
Step 2
Peel and cut up apples. Dice into similar size pieces.
Step 3
In another saucepan, add all apple topping ingredients. Stir well. Cook for at least 15 minutes (when using 6 apples) on low heat, stirring frequently. Apples should have a nice thick sauce.
Step 4
Add more milk (eye ball it) to oatmeal and turn on heat. Boil, then cook in medium heat for 5 minutes. Let apples continue to cook, too.
Step 5
Add honey and more milk if needed to oatmeal. Finished!
