Ingredients
6 servings
1 boxfirm tofu
1 jarvegan egg alternative
plant-based, I used
3 cupsrice
short grain, sushi-grade cooked
6nori
half - sheets
½ cupsoy sauce
½ cupcane sugar
organic, vegan
Instructions
Step 1
Cook your rice. Use short-grain sushi rice.
Step 2
Slice the the tofu into pieces that will fit into your musubi mold. In a sauce pan, add a little bit of oil and fry the tofu til it browns and forms a nice skin. Repeat for all slices of tofu.
Step 3
In the same sauce pan, add soy sauce and sugar. Fry until the tofu has soaked up some soy sauce and turned brown.
Step 4
In a pan fry up the vegan egg alternative. Treat this like a regular egg and fry it up. You will have to slice it to fit in the musubi mold.
Step 5
Assemble! I recommend a tofu, egg, rice order.
Step 6
Serve and enjoy!
