Instructions
Step 1
In a medium sized bowl, add the beef, 1 teaspoon of cornstarch and 1 tablespoon of soy sauce. Use your hands or tongs to evenly distribute the marinade.
Step 2
While the beef marinates, prep your vegetables. Cut the tomatoes into small wedges and the bell pepper, green onion and onion into medium sized chunks.
Step 3
In a large pan or wok over medium heat, add the cooking oil. Add the beef and stir fry until browned. Remove from the pan.
Step 4
Then, add the garlic, ginger, bell pepper and onions. Cook until slightly softened, then add the tomatoes and beef. Stir fry until the tomatoes are slightly wilted, about 2-3 minutes.
Step 5
In a small bowl, combine the remaining cornstarch with ½ cup of cold water to form a cornstarch slurry. Stir until dissolved. Add this to your pan along with the remaining soy sauce, chicken bouillon powder, white sugar and worcestershire sauce.
Step 6
Add the green onions to the pan.
Step 7
Toss together until the beef and vegetables are evenly coated in the sauce. Remove from the heat and serve over rice or noodles.
