Instructions
Step 1
Rinse the rice 10 times. Until the water is clear.
Step 2
Soak the rice for at least 2 hours (best over night).
Step 3
Put 1 tbsp of olive oil into a pan. Add the drained rice into a pan. Cover with boiling water.
Step 4
Put the pan on a medium heat and add 3/4 tsp of salt. Cook for 7-8 minutes (until the rice is aldente).
Step 5
Turn off the heat and drain the rice.
Step 6
Put the rice back in the pan. Add 5 tbsp of oil and sprinkle with water.
Step 7
Put the saffron powder into an small bowl and add a little bit of boiling water. Mix it together and than sprinkle it over the rice.
Step 8
Cover the lit (inside) with a tea towel and cover the rice.
Step 9
Cook on a very small heat for 45 minutes.
