Instructions
Step 1
In a large pan, heat oil over medium heat

Sautee onions and cumin until onions are tender, but not browned
Step 3
Rinse the rice several times and drain well
Step 4
Add the rice and water to the pan with the onions
Step 5
Stir in salt, garam masala, and vegetables
Step 6
Cover the pan, increase the heat to high and bring to a boil, then reduce the heat to low. Keep the rice covered stir after 10 minutes and cook about 25-30 minutes until all the water is absorbed and rice is tender.
