These puff pastry recipes are all over TikTok, so you know I had to try one! This is a simple recipe with some big fresh flavors and that sweet balsamic glaze to finish it off. You get that crunchy and flakiness from the puff pastry and it just ties everything together. Give it a try and let me know how it taste!

Instructions

Step 1
Preheat oven to 400 degrees.

On a baking sheet lined with parchment paper, drizzle your olive oil into 6 sections.

Take half your parmesan cheese and sprinkle on top of each olive oil section.

Take half your basil and sprinkle on top of each section.

Take 1 slice of tomato and add on top of each section, making sure you cover all the ingredients underneath.

Take your thawed puff pastry sheet and divide into 6 pieces. Spread a little pesto on one side and then place pesto side down on top of each tomato.

Seal the sides directly on to the parchment paper, so all the ingredients won't fall out.
Step 8
Crack your egg into a bowl and whisk (you can add a drop of water in too). Then just brush your egg wash on top of each pastry.

Bake in the oven for about 25 minutes or until the pastry is golden brown.
Step 10
Remove from the oven and flip each pastry over. Sprinkle the remaining parmesan and basil on top and drizzle your balsamic glaze to finish. Enjoy!
