Instructions
For Dal
Step 1
Take both the dals and wash them a couple of times
Step 2
Soak the dals for 1/2 hour
Step 3
Drain the dal and put it in a cooker
Step 4
Add ginger garlic paste, green chillies, turmeric, salt and 3 cups of water. Cook the dal
Step 5
Whisk the dal and make it smooth
For making the Dal
Step 6
Take 1 tbsp ghee in a non stick pot
Step 7
Add onions and saute them for a couple of minutes
Step 8
Add tomatoes and saute them until soft
Step 9
Add the whisked dal and some water. Let it boil
For the Tadka
Step 10
Take 1 tbsp of ghee in the tadka kadhai
Step 11
Add the mustard seeds, cumin, red chillies, curry leaves and red chilli powder
Step 12
Turn off the heat and fry them for a bit
Step 13
Add the tadka to the Dal
Step 14
Add freshly chopped coriander to top it off
