Step 1

Step 2
Add the onion; cook for 3 minutes. Add garlic and cook for 2-3 minutes stirring often so if doesn’t stick.
Step 3
Stir in 3 cups water, the cumin, chili powder, salt, sweet potatoes, and black beans and bring to a boil over high heat. Reduce heat to low and simmer for about 20 minutes.
