6 steps
Prep:5minCook:10min
Hello, everyone! I hope you're all doing well! Recently, I had a lot of kale in my refrigerator and I was wondering what to make with it. Then I thought of making kale namul, similar to spinach namul, as a side dish. Namul is a broad term used to describe a flavorful vegetable dish that has been seasoned. So I tried making kale namul, and my family loved it so much that I thought I should share the recipe with all of you. Hope you enjoy this healthy recipe!

1. Add 1 teaspoon of salt to boiling water. Put the kale in the boiling water and cook for about 5 minutes.
Step 2
2. After 5 minutes, transfer the blanched kale to cold water and rinse it once or twice. Drain the water.
Step 3
3. Squeeze the blanched kale with your hands to remove excess water. Cut the kale into 1-inch lengths. Place it in a bowl.
Step 4
4. Cut the white parts of green onions in half and finely chop them. Also finely mince 2 cloves of garlic.
Step 5
5. How to make seasoning: Add 1 tablespoon of tuna fish sauce, 1 teaspoon of minced garlic, 1 tablespoon of chopped green onions, 1 tablespoon of sesame oil, and 1 tablespoon of ground sesame seeds. Mix well.
Step 6
6. When seasoning the kale, make sure to thoroughly mix it so that it doesn't clump and the seasoning is evenly distributed. If it's slightly bland, add a pinch of salt.
