Dad’s famous jambalaya… makes a ton

Instructions

Step 1
Boil 3-4 c water, add mix. Simmer 10 minutes and turn off heat.
Step 2
Simultaneously, brown sausage in 1 tsp vegetable oil. Remove sausage.
Step 3
Add 2 tbsp vegetable oil and sauté onion, pepper, and celery until soft. Add minced garlic and sauté five minutes.
Step 4
Add chicken stock and diced tomatoes, as well as spices. Add salt and pepper to taste
Step 5
Add mix, including water
Step 6
Add dry rice and chicken , simmer 20-25 minutes stirring occasionally.
Step 7
Add shrimp and add extra Italian seasoning and paprika
Step 8
Simmer 5 minutes while stirring
Step 9
Serve with crusty bread
