Blackened Salmon with Ginger Miso Dressing

Ingredients

Ginger Miso Dressing
2 tspsginger
minced
2 Tbspsmiso
1 Tbspmirin
¼ cuprice vinegar
¼ cupextra virgin olive oil
1 tspKorean hot pepper flakes
1 ½ Tbsphoney
White pepper
salt
to taste
Garnish
Instructions
Step 1
Pat dry salmon with paper towels.
Step 2
Sprinkle salt, pepper and garlic powder to both sides.
Step 3
Heat oil in heavy-bottom pan over medium high heat.
Step 4
Pan fry salmon flesh side down first for 2 -3 minutes. Do not move it and allow surface to blacken.
Step 5
Reduce heat to medium. Turn salmon over. Cook for 2 - 3.
Step 6
Turn and cook the sides for 1 minute each.
Step 7
Add butter. Turn the heat off. Base salmon with dripping. The fish should reach 145 degrees F.
Step 8
Put on a plate
Step 9
Combine all ingredients for ginger miso dressing in a jar. Shake to mix. Pour dressing over salmon.
Step 10
Garnish with green onion & sesame seeds. Enjoy!
