Preheat oven to 425°

Salt and pepper room temperature filets heavily on both sides

Get cast iron skillet hot with avocado oil
Step 4
Sear filets for 2 minutes per side (4 minutes total). After first flip, add a small pad of butter to top of each filet
Step 5
After searing move to foil lined baking sheet and put in oven for 6-8 minutes, depending on thickness of steak, for rare
