For marinade
1 Tbspyogurt
2garlic cloves
minced
1 tsppaprika
1 tspgarlic powder
½ tspcumin
½ tspturmeric
½ tsporegano
½ tspchili flakes
salt
to taste
pepper
to taste
0.5fresh lemon juice
2chicken breasts
For the rice
1 cupbasmati rice
2 cupswater
1 tspchicken bouillon
¼ tspturmeric
¼ tspcumin
salt
to taste
pepper
to taste
For sauce
Instructions
Step 1
Put ingredients for marinade in a medium bowl with chicken. Massage ingredients into chicken and marinate for at least an hour or overnight.
Step 2
Cook chicken however you would like. I either bake it or cook it in a pan.
Step 3
Wash rice until the water runs clear. Then, add olive oil to a pot and put rice into the pot. Cool rice for a minute or two. Then, put spices and water into the pot and stir. Let water come to a boil, then reduce the heat to low and cook for 15 min or until there is no water left and rice is cooked through.
Step 4
Make the sauce by whisking together the sauce ingredients in a small bowl.
Step 5
Cut chicken into chunks. Put the cooked rice in the bottom of a bowl. Put chicken on top and drizzle sauce on top. You can add any other veggies you want as well, like tomatoes, cucumbers, or even lettuce. Serve and enjoy!
